Charles Dodson
Charles understands the Executive Director position and its responsibilities well, having served Breckenridge Village as Executive Director full-time nearly 20 years ago. As Executive Director he engaged in and gave leadership to program planning and implementation, and developed service plans and quality of care consultations. He ensured compliance of care and supervised professional and direct care staff, staff training and evaluation, and communication with the parents and guardians of residents at Breckenridge Village.
Beyond his career with Breckenridge Village, Charles enjoyed decades of pastoral and leadership positions with churches in Austin and East Texas. His achievements in education include a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas in Austin and a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Charles is credentialed in pastoral counseling and marriage enrichment leadership and earned numerous certifications from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.
